He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Taggart and Mildred Taggart (Sweeney); his wife Violet L. Pike; his son Ken Taggart; and his grandson Matthew Collins.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jan Doan (Rob), Carol Collins (Randy) and Kim Davidson (Russell); and his grandchildren, Melissa Evans (Josh), Eric Doan (Brandi), Susan Collins (late Matthew), Ben Taggart (Ashley), Suzy Stein (Kenny), Jessica Taggart, Laura Collins, Emily Halcomb, Josh McCall (Sarah) and Michael Ourada. He is also survived by 23 great grandchildren.
