He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Carter and Edith Carter (Heaton); and his siblings, Francis, Virgil, Don and Myron.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. Carter (Harasimik); his nieces, Janice McClain, Rosemary Rebres and Adriana Rock; his great-niece Gail Nickerson; and also, Alexandria, Kylie Parker, Blake Rebres, William Nickerson and Michael Janzen.
Memorial donations may be directed to: The Toronto High School Alumni Assoc., the Toronto Lions Club and the St. Francis Catholic Church.
