He was predeceased by : his parents, Helen Dorothy (Vogelsong) and William A. McFerren; and his brother William Ritchie McFerren. He is survived by : his wife Linda McFerren (Joy); his daughter Melinda "Mindy" Jones (Jeff); his grandchildren, Zane and Josey (Bader); his great grandchild Mia Lynn of Toronto; and his sister Janet Mossor of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the J. E. Foster Funeral Homes (701 Findley St, Toronto, OH 43964). A celebration of life was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Toronto High School Alumni Association to which he gave regularly.
