He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Willie Howard and Phyllis Gordon; his wife Ruth Austin Howard; his children, Willie Boyd, Anthony Howard, Darrell Pitts (Tunika), Harry Pitts, Katina Howard, Lutricia Howard, Tracy Davis, Nicole Pitts and Cheryl Reid (James); his siblings, Johnny Howard (Wilhelmina), Theodore Howard and Rose Richardson; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Brown (Clara), Walter Brown (Vera), Bennie Austin (Dollie), William Austin (Crystal), Anthony Austin (Patty), Olivia Coleman, Daisy Payne (Ivory), Lillian O'Banner (Harry) and Audrey Austin. He was also cherished by ten children, twenty-five grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
