He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward E. Lee Sumner and Ora Lee Sumner. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Sumner; his children, Wayne Sumner Jr. (Tracy) and Spring Leininger; his grandchildren, Thomas Wayne Sumner, Nicole Marie Geiger (Nicholas), Amber Lynn Sumner, Sabrina Breeze Leininger and May Jane Leininger; his great grandchild Emmett Geiger; and his siblings, Clarence "Bud" Sumner, Milton "Fairly" Sumner (Carol), Carolyn Ellis, Janice Slifco (John) and Marilyn Cooper.
