He was predeceased by: his former wife Mary Ward; his sister Betty Ellis Cameron; his children, Douglas Jones and Anita Young; his grandchildren, William Young Ill, Nekitto Ward, Felix Mccoats (Bobo) and Janae Wilson; and his great grandchild Araya Winters.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Evelena Jones; his daughters, Vivian Crawford, Carolyn Ward-Young (Charles), Helen Hicks, Vincene Kim Walker and Dayna Copeland; and his siblings, Earl Duane Ellis (Catherine), Muriel Nelson and Bemice Sparm. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
