He is survived by: his spouse Patricia Pennington Baumgartner; his stepchildren, William Baumgartner, Brian Baumgartner, Linda Curley and Susan Maples (Swan); his grandchildren, Joshua Baumgartner, Brandon Reed, Lindsay Curley, Tyler Maples and Margaelyn Nichols; his great grandchildren, Michael Gladney III, Layla Miners and Brandon Reed II; and his nieces, Lisa Wise and Sarah Snow.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association.
