He is survived by: his sons, Steve (Wendy), Ronald Jr. and Anthony Hottmann; and his siblings, Beverly Nesbit (Bill), Tonya Hottmann, Robert Lee DeShetler (Ruth), Robert David Hottmann and Michael DeShetler Sr.. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
