He was predeceased by: his wife Carol D. Scharer; and his parents, Clifford Scharer and Fannie Scharer. He is survived by: his children, Donald (Jackie), Robert (Janet), Wayne Starrett (Beth) and Camellia Pawlicki (Dave); his grandchildren, Melissa, Angela, Chance, David, Alayna, Ben, Christine and Abigale; and his siblings, Ed, Larry, Don, Frank, Bobby, Clara and Juanita. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
