He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Hardesty and Lucille Hardesty (Burkholder); his wife Virginia; and his stepson Dennie Whittman. He is survived by: his grandson Matt Whittman (Nicole); his great grandchildren, Logan and Sydney; and his children, Jamie and Ed Zimmerman.
