He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Sowle and Amelia Sowle (Groth); and his son Willis Clinton Sowle. He is survived by: his wife Patty Sowle (Courtney); and his daughters, Major Rochelle Lehr (Colonel Steven), Kathy Werner (Chip), Tammy Kirchbaum and Lisa Schuster.
