With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Wayne Johnson Sr. (Toledo, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 28, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra Sue; his parents, Marshall Shields and Nellie Crouchman; his stepfather Peter Johnson, Sr.; and his siblings, Joe Crouchman, Billy Johnson, Peter Johnson Jr., Nellie Ramirez (Jimmy), John Shields and Cindee Little (Randy).
He is survived by: his children, Michael Johnson, Jr. (Vickie), Laurie Wielinski, Brian Johnson (Shannon), Kathy Johnson and Elizabeth Helton; and his siblings, Rick Shields (Linda), Jo-Anne Danchuk (Blain) and Lynn Barker (Richard). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Calendar Walter Funeral Home (4653 Glendale Ave, Toledo, OH 43614). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
