She was predeceased by: her parents, Monroe McDonald and Mattie McDonald (Etheredge); her husband Mark Pownall; and her brothers, Howard (Dorothy), Etheredge (Chris), Parker (Ruth) and Donald McDonald.
She is survived by: her children, Kip Pownall and Laura Salfai (Paul); her grandchildren, Kiel Anderson, Amanda Vopat (Josh), Rebecca Odegarden (Bryce) and Alex Salfai; her great grandchildren, Asa, Elodee, Fiona, Colton, Jax, Zoe and Kenzie; her sister-in-law Catherine McDonald; and her close friend Harold Hoffman. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the University of Toledo Alumni Association.
