She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Johnson and Mattie Macabee; her husband Kenny Tolbert; her brothers, Robert Lee and Willie Johnson; her niece Vicky; and her nephew Victor.

She is survived by: her children, Yvette Johnson and Derek Johnson; her son-in-law William Eric Baker, Sr.; her granddaughters, Tierra Nicole Johnson and Shawnte Marie Hawkins (Ray Hooker); her great grandchildren, RaShawn, Amare and Stephon Hooker; and her siblings, Elenor Lindsey Johnson, Pearl Montgomery, Hattie King, Gloria Pope, Nathaniel Evans (Carolyn) and James Evans (Tammy). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
