It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnny Dallas Green of Toledo, Ohio, who passed away on April 11, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Johnny departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Johnny may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Johnny leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Dallas Pettaway and Raymond Green; and his son Ramone. He is survived by: his wife Lillian A. Griswold; his sons, Johnny II and Michael; and his grandchildren, Allissa Jefferson, Rosalynda Escobar, Aliya Green and Saintana Green. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Castillo Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1757 Tremainsville Rd, Toledo, OH 43613). A wake will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Spring Street Baptist Church (601 Spring St, Toledo, OH 43608).
