He is survived by: his wife Cheryl (Moore); his children, Michelle R. Schultz-Karia (Marko) and Michael W. Murphy (Dolly); his grandchildren, Max Schultz, Noelle Karia, Nikki Weiland (Billy), Matthew Karia, Shelby Jenkins (Josh), Madison Murphy, Samantha Baker and Jake Baker; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Eliza Weiland, Aubree Weiland and Parker Karia; and his siblings, John F. Murphy (Linda) and Betty Shriver.
