He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Walls and Esther Walls (Weihrauch); and his sister Mary Ann Walls-Navis. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca A. Walls; his son Trace Walls (Kimberly); and his grandchildren, Connor, Alexis and Logan.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Jim's memory.
