He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kornmeier and Elizabeth Kornmeier (Griffin); and his siblings, Marissa Richards, Mike Kornmeier and Shirley Duchene.

He is survived by: his wife Judith A. Kornmeier; his sons, Anthony J. Kornmeier (Sarah) and Nicholas V. Kornmeier (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Alex, Luke, Drew, Ella and Addie Kornmeier; and his brothers, Ed Kornmeier (Nora) and Jack Kornmeier. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Jim 's memory.
