He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Miller and Nola Miller (Hahnlen); his wife Joyce Miller (Moline); and his brothers, Charles and Robert Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Vicki Mersino, Nola "Nonie" Foy and James C. Miller, Jr. (Brian Bittikofer); his grandchildren, David Demecs (Gina), Shasta Demecs and Brent Harbaugh (Amy); and his great grandchildren, David Demecs, Jr., Jackson Harbaugh, Tristin Demecs and Katelyn Harbaugh. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
