It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gregory Jude Berning Sr. (Toledo, Ohio), who passed away on December 30, 2023, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Julia Berning (Wolinski). He is survived by: his children, Gregory Berning Jr. (Bailey), Franklin Berning (Kileigh), Thaddeus Berning (Kallie) and Samantha Berning; his grandson Isaiah Johnson; his father Frederick Berning Sr.; and his siblings, Audrey Berning-Matell, Helen Davis (Roger), Diane Haupricht (Tom), Juliette Schaefer (Daniel), Louise Maxwell (Mike), Frederick Jr., Michael and Eric Berning (Jennifer). He is also survived by his family and many friends.
Memorial donations honoring Greg may be given to the Toledo YES Project, the Diocese of Toledo, or to the family for funeral expenses.
