George Wilder Obituary
George Wilder was born on September 15, 1985 in Toledo, Ohio to Sharon Wilder (Jones) and George Pernell Jr. He suddenly & sadly left his earthly body on November 13th, 2024.
George, affectionately known as June Bug or "June", was a child of God; a praying man who loved the Lord and believed in the power of Christ. He held dear the values instilled by his beloved grandparents and was wise beyond his years. He attended Scott High School in Toledo, Ohio. A philosopher of sorts, he was deep-thinker & what people often refer to as an old soul.
From an early age, June took pride in dressing as a "classic man". He could be found in his Sunday's Best on any day of the week.
June was a Man's Man, a Jack- of-all-Trades who could fix anything he put his hands on and his mind to. He worked as a forklift operator and a self-employed mechanic & handyman for many years.
Wherever you found him working, you could be sure to hear him singing, beatboxing, or reciting his own poetry. Music lived in his heart, and he just couldn't help but let it out. He put his life's lessons into pieces that he wanted to share with the world. He was a self-taught music producer and engineer who was loved throughout the local arts community.
June was an extremely passionate father, having recently established a movement called "Don't Give Up" to promote and encourage Black Fatherhood. His children were his world, and he will be sorely missed by them as well as his many nieces, nephews & favorite cousins.
June was a person you could count on for a Good Morning, a good talk, a warm hug or gesture, and messages of love and encouragement. He adored his family & close friends that he considered family as well.
He was preceded in death by his Father; George Pernell Jr. of Minneapolis, MN. Maternal grandparents; James & Imogene Lott. Paternal grandparents; Sarah & George Pernell Sr. Uncles; Michael Lott Sr. & Dennis Lott.
He leaves to cherish his memory; Mother, Sharon Jones. Wife; Sparkle Franklin
