He was predeceased by: his father James Henry Sweat; his daughter Garrica Sweat; and his brothers, Jimmy and Jerome Sweat. He is survived by: his mother Artermishia Williams Sweat; his children, Kevin Bledsoe (Nokomis), Starler Fish, Summa Sweat, Coleman Sweat (Jessica), Jessica Hardin (Carl), Jason Sweat, Gary Sweat (Sydney) and Kiera Sweat; his stepdaughter Lecheakea Elliott; his siblings, Retta Guy, Lisa Johnson, Robert Sweat and Karen Lymon (Harry); his aunt Peggy Brooks of Richmond, Kentucky; and his uncles, Donald Mason (Marcia) and James "Thunderbolt" Mason. He is also survived by forty-one grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery (6980 Danville Rd, Nicholasville, KY 40356).
