He was predeceased by: his mother Josephine Steedman. He is survived by: his former wife Rita Roberts Reuter; his daughters, Shannon Dukes (Sonny) and Kristina Matthews; his grandchildren, Garyn, Emma, Mallory, Madelynn, Ashleigh and Austin; and his brothers, Paul Ackerman (Patricia), James Steedman (Karen) and Marc Steedman. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a local veteran's group or can be mailed to Mt. Dora Amvets Post 1992, 32201 Amvets Way, Mt Dora, FL 32757 in memory of Gary G Ackerman.
