He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Darmofal and Nellie Darmofal; his siblings, Raymond (Judy), Leo (Emma Lou), Eleanore and Terry Townsend (George); his brothers-in-law, George Townsend and David Gerl; and his daughter-in-law Christy.
He is survived by: his wife Rosalie; his children, Kevin Darmofal (Julie), Loren Darmofal (Mila), Alan Darmofal and Michele Palmer (Andrew); his siblings, Stella Gerl, Robert (Susan) and Joseph Darmofal (Fran); and his grandchildren, Logan Darmofal, Gavin Palmer, Alex Louthan and Lyndsey Ahleman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
