She was predeceased by: her former husbands, Dale Middaugh and Robert Lytten; her sons, Joseph Middaugh and Randall Flayter; and her siblings, Marcella Hoskins, Paula Pluciniak and Lloyd Rawlins Jr..

She is survived by: her husband Melvin Flayter; and her children, Jeffery Middaugh (Julieta), David Middaugh, Michelle Langschied (Tim), Michael Middaugh (Maggie) and Rochelle Flayter-Armola. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be given to ProMedica Hospice.
