He was predeceased by: his father James Schaetzke; and his former wife Sheila Schaetzke (Crossen). He is survived by: his mother Janet Audene Schaetzke (Williams); his siblings, Andrew and Emily; his children, Andrew (Rochelle) and Emily; his grandchildren, Jett, Ellie and Mary; and his siblings, Daniel, David (Wendy) and Deborah Bucher (Paul). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice in Don's memory.
