He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Dartt and Mary Dartt (Maynes); his son Donald Dartt, Jr.; his granddaughter Mary Elizabeth Dartt; and his nieces, Lisa Fields (Kavanaugh) and Meredith Mergler.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Mergler; his children, Steve (Pam), Ellen Columber, Mike, Chris and Thom; and his grandchildren, Rachel Bisesi (Steve), Alex Dartt (Jessica), Geoff Dartt (Jan), Emily Bannister (Troy), Andrea Carrell (Rob), Brittany Columber, Justin Columber (Tahya), Deborah Bell, Caroline Jablonski (Josh), Laura Masimore and Amanda Hill (Brian).
Memorial tributes may be made to the University of Dayton Football, the UD Champions Scholars Fund.
