It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald A. Kotnik (Toledo, Ohio), born in Barberton, Ohio, who passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Though Donald may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Donald touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He is survived by: his wife Rochelle (Saris); his children, Lisa, Amy and Mike Don; and his grandchildren, Grace, Ben, Jackson and Abby.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Don Kotnik Scholarship Fund for the UT Men's Golf Team to continue his tradition of support for education, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, who assisted in his final days with respect and compassion.

“Kotnik’s, I was so sorry to hear about Don’s passing. He will truly be missed. He was an incredible man and leader. He also was immensely great to the Alexander family, for so many years. Don was such an incredible influence and supportive of me and my golf for my entire life. There are no words to thank him for all the help and encouragement in my playing and teaching career. Toledo and Golf will miss Don so very much! God bless, Doug Alexander”
