We are sad to announce that on May 24, 2021, at the age of 97, Dorothy Jane Nye of Tiro, Ohio, born in Mansfield, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank W. Andrews and Bertha A. Andrews (Lentz); her husband Clinton Willis Nye; her son Herbert Nye; her siblings, Frederick Andrews and Jeannette Bobenhouse; her children-in-law, Janet Nye, Wayne Pugh and Raliegh Striker; and her stepsiblings, Norma Freitchen, Arnold and Richard Jensen.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Nye (Becky) of Bucyrus, James Nye (Dottie) of Pittsboro, NC, Robert Nye of Willard and Susan Striker of Panama City, FL; her daughter-in-law Nita Nye; her grandchildren, Wendy Pugh (Laurie) of Grove City, Tony Pugh (Stephanie) of Plain City, Michael Nye of Wilmington, NC, Katie Jara Nye of Raleigh, NC and Laura Klinck (Christopher) of Panama City, FL; her stepgrandchildren, Bonnie Parsons (Derek) of Apex, NC and Christin Caple (Kyle) of Prosper, TX; her great grandchild Rachel Pugh; her siblings, Harry Andrews of Waverly and Lois Graham of California; and her sister-in-law Helena Andrews of Galion. She is also survived by 5 step great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Tiro United Methodist Church, the Kidney Foundation or to the Salvation Army.
