He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Francis and Ruth Ina Helter (Long); and his siblings, Thomas Helter and Diane Arnold. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Ann Hankins; his children, James Michael Helter (Michelle), Stacey Jean Bardall (Ben), Leigh Ann Bryan and Jason Eric Helter; his grandchildren, Lauren Dougherty (Tyler) of Lindsey Bardall, C. J, Hailey Helter, Jayden Helter (Tawney), Jarrett Helter, Andrew Bryan and Chloe Bryan; his great grandchild Ava Dougherty; and his sister Denise R. Phillips. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Union United Methodist Church and Community Hospice.
