She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbert Dexter and Marilyn Dexter (Bell). She is survived by: her husband Thomas F. Smith; her children, April Mason of Akron and Rex Higginbotham (Lisa); her stepsons, Glen Smith (Leslie) of Akron and Edward Smith of Akron; her brothers, Michael Dexter (Jennifer Blackburn) of Lexington, NC, Steven Dexter (Debbie) of Canton, Tracy Dexter (Mary) and Dana Dexter of Canton; her grandchildren, Aiyanna Mason, Bethanie Higginbotham, William Higginbotham, Jacob Postalwait, Dylan, Reagan and Gray; and her great grandchild Wyatt "Lucas".
