He was predeceased by: his parent Colonel Robert E.; his brother John; his sister-in-law Sandy; his niece Suzanne Carlson; and his siblings-in-law, Myrtle and Jack Pelphrey.
He is survived by: his mother Margaret V. Carlson (Fils); his wife Deborah; his children, Jessie Carlson and Jamie Carlson; his granddaughter Josie; and his brothers, James and Mark (Kathy). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
