She was predeceased by: her parents, Rush Mahlon and Vesta Mahlon; her husbands, James McDermott and Robert Powell; her siblings, Louella, James, Violet and Betty; her son-in-law Jim Slattery; and her son Steve McDermott (Amy).
She is survived by: her brother Ralph Mahlon (Doris); her sister-in-law Margaret Kimes (Woodrow); her nephew James Paul McDermott (Evelyn) of Abilene, Texas; and her nieces, Judy Slattery of Tipp City, Darlene Duggan (Jim) of Schenectady, Linda Brundrett (Rob) of Troy, Ohio and Lisa Bownas (Steve) of Dublin, Ohio. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
