Roger C. Van Malsen Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger C. Van Malsen (Tipp City, Ohio), born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on April 3, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Menno Mersman and Esther Hughes; his adoptive parents, Cornelius, Allie, Wierenga and Van Malsen; and his sister Lois Ruth Van Malsen (Gordon).
He is survived by: his wife Arlene J.; his daughters, Lori Souders (Perry) and Sheri Holl; his granddaughters, Kelli DeYoung, Stefanie Hawkins, Amy Patterson and Allie Holl; his nephews, David and Neal; his niece Mary; and his brother Jon Mersman. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests condolences be made in Roger's memory to the Vandalia VFW Post 9582.
