He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Hennigan and Irene Hennigan; his siblings, John, David Hennigan and Dorothy Kaye Treter; and his son David H. Hennigan.

He is survived by: his sons, Todd, Eric, Scott and Chad Hennigan. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

“I 1st "met" George some 40 years ago right after a good snowstorm, and our driveway was completely closed in. I am disabled, so it was going to be difficult for me to try and dig out. My wife looked out the window and saw someone on his lawn tractor with an attached snow blade, clearing our drive. Neither one of us knew who it was. I learned later he was a neighbor from across the street-George. Thru the years George and I would sit at his garage just talking. Such a kind and wonderful man. RIP.”
