She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Ertel and Lorene Ertel (Thornton); her husband Carl Simpkins; and her daughter Cheri Simpkins-Thompson. She is survived by: her children, Carla Reaver of Vandalia and Craig Simpkins of Brookville; and her grandchildren, Zach Simpkins, Ashley Simpkins-Perkins, Brandon Reaver (Bethany), Kory Morland (Stephaine) and Bryan Reaver (Kelly). She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
