He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Arnold and Loretta Blanche Swartz (Wheelock); his siblings, Mary Helen and George Joseph; his nephew David Swartz; and his brother-in-law Donald Gastomsky.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Swartz (Benson); his son Rick; his stepdaughter Tammy; his sister Patricia "Patti" Gostomsky; and his grandchildren, Alex, Alexis, Lena and Elijah. He is also survived by one great-grandson, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
