He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Hartenstein and Cora Hartenstein (Bullinger); his granddaughter Erinn Elizabeth Hartenstein; his sisters, Gladys Cunningham, Alfreda Dannemiller, Ethella Cook and Mercedes Miller; and his brother-in-law Robert Schleter.
He is survived by: his wife Carmela Patuto; his children, David Hartenstein (Sally) of Hampton Falls, NH, Steven "Danny" Hartenstein (Sandy) of Idaho Falls, ID, Douglas Hartenstein (Vicki) of Tiffin, Dianna Queen (John) of North Canton, Donna Luedy (John) of Mansfield and Dora Graham (Brett) of Attica; and his siblings, Gregory Hartenstein (Elaine) of Henrietta, NY, Michael Hartenstein (Sue) of Fremont, Patrick Hartenstein (Ann) of New Riegel, Paul Hartenstein (Evelyn) of Wakeman, Ohio and Judith Schleter of Tiffin. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance without lingering.
