He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Distel and Mary Ellen Distel (Reinman); and his brother Keith Distel. He is survived by: his wife Jane Miletti; his children, Cory Distel (Amy) of Clyde and Cary Ahten (Michael) of Clyde; his stepdaughters, Kelly Kleinhenz of Dayton, Jaci McBride (Kenny) of Michigan and Candace Jones (Jerry) of Michigan; his granddaughters, Audrey and Jenna Distel; his stepgrandchildren, Madison, Mallory, Conner Eastby, Tayli and Mason McBride; his sisters, Marilyn Brown (Joe) of Little Falls, Minn and Elaine Sendelbach (Mark) of Tiffin; and his sister-in-law Kathy Distel of Naperville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
