He was predeceased by: his parents, Creed Reed and Dolly Reed (Prater); his wife Gloria Reed; his son Russell G. Reed, Jr.; his siblings, Ogil Reed, Charles "Bud" Reed and Juanita Amburgy; and his siblings-in-law, Arnold Amburgy, Susy Reed, Bernie Reed and Percilla Reed.
He is survived by: his children, Ted Reed, Kathy Bigley of Tiffin, Stacy Gebauer (Matt) of Tiffin and Amy Rohlf (Trevor); and his siblings, Hershel Reed (Shirley) of Inola, OK, Robert "Bob" Reed of Orrville, Rephard Reed (Rhonda) of Centerburg, Rita Faidley (Mike) of Palm Coast, FL and Sue Newman (Lynn) of Apopka, FL. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
