She was predeceased by: her parents, Gaylord Firestone and Velma Firestone (Perrine); her son Douglas Askam; and her sister Diana Barrett. She is survived by: her children, Daniel Askam (Eliza), Matthew Askam (Cassie), Lesley Brose (John), Erin Askam (Chris) and Bridget Shaull; her grandchildren, Brianna, Autumn, Chase, Jeremy, Justin, Walker, Destinie, Quin, Emma, Dylan, Karsyn, Acelynn, Ellexia, Landin and Evan; her great grandchildren, Selena, Scarlett and Mila; and her siblings, Tony Firestone (Kim), Don Barrett, John Firestone (Rhonda), Christine Fourtner (Tom), Linda Hodge (Carl), Robin Surface (Aaron) and Pamela Baker (Robbie). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
