He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilton Ohler and Virginia F. Ohler (Elchert); his stepmother Ruth "Rudy" Ohler; and his brother James Ohler. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ohler of Tiffin; his daughters, Linda Ohler of Tiffin and Karen Gaietto (Brian) of Tiffin; his grandsons, Jacob Gaietto (Ellen), Nicholas Gaietto and Zachary Gaietto (Cassandra); and his great grandchildren, Jareth and Bellizare.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mohawk Fire & Rescue or the Humane Society of Seneca County.
