He was predeceased by: his father Edwin LaRue; and his siblings, Albert Hughes, Carol Milton and Katherine Balderson. He is survived by: his wife Arlene Hughes (Stucky) of Tiffin; his children, Edwin, Ronald Patrick Hughes (Melinda) of Boise and Mary Grace Franks (Jeremy) of Tiffin; and his siblings, Virgil Hughes (Clara) of Fostoria, Paul F. Hughes (Cindy) of Leesburg and Barbara Ray Ray (Michael) of Dadeville, Alabama.. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren.
