We are sad to announce that on February 20, 2021, at the age of 73, Paul Elchert of Tiffin, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul L., Sr. and Ellen R. Elchert (Hartzell); his brother-in-law Kenneth "Bernie" Distel; and his niece Casey R. Elchert. He is survived by: his children, Eric Elchert (Angie) of Tiffin, Sarah Porter (Dave) of Tiffin, Daniel Elchert (Sara) of Tiffin, Alex Elchert of Tiffin, Alisha Godfrey of Tiffin and Gary Ringle (Nicole) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Braeden, Morgan, Avery Elchert, Ryan, Allison Porter, Cecilia Elchert, Jylan, Jamison and Jayci Godfrey; his siblings, Margaret "Peg" Distel of Tiffin, Joseph Elchert (Nancy) of Tiffin, Mary Wuescher (Mike) of Tiffin, Urban Elchert (Pat) of Tiffin, Larry Elchert (Shirley) of Tiffin, Theresa Reino (Dan) of Tiffin and Pat A. Elchert of Tiffin; and also Renee Williams (Smetzler). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many good friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Casey Rochelle Elchert Scholarship Fund of the Tiffin Community Foundation at 31 S. Washington Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883.

“We didn't know Paul that well, just a super nice acquaintance! He always said "hello" with a smile! What we loved the most, was seeing him at the different Tiffin events on his bicycle! Such a friendly guy! His needless death just shows people how serious Covid-19 is, and how important it is to listen to Governor DeWine as to do social distancing, wear a mask, and if appropriate, get the covid vaccine! Rest in Peace, Paul, may God Bless and Keep you in his living arms🙏❤ Denny and Barb Feasel”
