He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Jones and Eva Jones (Perkins); his children, Timothy Jones and Deb Grooms; and his sister Bertha Ross.
He is survived by: his daughter Renee Bernal (Tim) of Bloomville; his brothers, Paul Jones (Ruth) of Republic, Robert of Kentucky and Porter Jones of Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Shyleigh Jones, Brennan Jones, Julia Sherwood, Ryland Grooms, Andrew Bernal and Dylan Bernal. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
