He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin C. Gabel and Grace M. Gabel (Willey); his siblings, Jim Gabel and Janet Crosby; and his sister-in-law Eileen Gabel.
He is survived by: his siblings, Karen Smith, Jr. (Harold) of Republic, Dick Gabel (Mary Ann) of Tiffin and Tom Gabel (Sally) of Tiffin; and his brother-in-law Harry Crosby, Jr. of Henderson, NV. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
