She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Swope and Lorena Swope (Crist); her husband Larry L. Shaferly; and her siblings, Ed Swope, Richard Swope, Bobby Swope, Ruth Gerber and Mildred Schoen.

She is survived by: her children, Daniel Shaferly (Donna) of Tiffin, Jeff Shaferly (Dawn) of Toledo, Teresa Jones (Paul) of Tiffin and Debora Hammer (Jeff) of Fostoria; and her pet Hans. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Francis Home, or to the Humane Society of Seneca County.
