She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold C. Bollinger and Ruth E. Bollinger (Dewald); her husband Robert R. Hoke; and her son Jeffery L. Hoke. She is survived by: her children, Robert Hoke (Kathee) of New Jersey, Danny Hoke (Sandra) of Kentucky, Marsha Dandar (Matt) of Tiffin and Connie Hoke of Findlay; her grandchildren, Ian Hoke (Katie), Crystal Vance (Mike), Laura Dandar, Danielle Dandar and Stephanie Gabbard (Nick); her great grandchildren, Maggie Hoke and Alexis Gabbard; and her pet Tattoo.

Joy was a 1950 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and still got together with her classmates for lunch once a month until Covid.

Memorials contributions may be made to the Seneca County Humane Society.
