He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur J. Scherger and Ruth M. Scherger (Souders); and his sister Cheri Diane Scherger. He is survived by: his children, Daniel Scherger (Pam), Jeffrey Scherger (Dana), Cynthia A Schalk of Tiffin and Karen Pardi (Mark) of Tiffin; and his grandchildren, Lucy Vera (David), Tony Schalk, Robert Schalk (Adrienne), Jacob Scherger (Carolyn), Joseph Scherger (Teresa), Emily Scherger, Steven Scherger (Samantha), Venessa Lookabaugh (Jordan), Alexandra Sours (Kyle), Lindsey Myers (Patrick) and Vincent Pardi (Emily). He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
