He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Ranker and Mary Ranker (Stone); his wife Mary C. "Kay" Sauber; and his siblings, Thomas Ranker, Sylvia Gibson, Dolores Ranker and Mary Angela Ranker.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Ranker (Natalie) of Tiffin and Angela Barnhart (Barney) of Tiffin; his grandchildren, Taylor and Shawna; and his sister Virginia Richardson of Columbus. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Rifle Association.
